AXIS Laser Stencil Command Center® Precision Laser Cut Stencils

No-lead solder wetting requires a longer period of time for capillary action to occur. Any pervious margin for error is eliminated and careful stencil design is required to ensure proper component placement after re-flow.

Stencil quality (this is important!) will determine volume consistency and repeatability. Laser cutting systems will require the ability to hold consistently maintained overall tolerances of /-.0005. Clients may need a "tailored" stencil requiring a complete analysis detailing customer aperture design throughout the design of the board.

Stencils can be generated to custom fit non-conforming boards, by scanning a physical board and creating exact size data from which the stencil can be cut, eliminating off pad printing which can cause bridging, opens, shorts, solder balls, tomb-stoning, and off pad alignment issues.

Transitioning to lead free doesn't have to be frustrating or time consuming, for IIT's customers. Our responsibility extends beyond a stencil that simply prints well. Our mission is after reflow success.
